The Jodie Torigian Charitable Fund was established in November 2000 following her untimely death at the age of 21 from a sudden cardiac arrest.
With the unrelenting support we have received from our family, friends and community, we have been able to turn this tragic loss into a vital and giving organization.
Our defibrillator distribution program is a great source of pride and comfort. To date, we have placed 25 in our local schools, public buildings, athletic programs and safety departments.
Our cash gifts, known as Butterflies, are presented to people and organizations facing extraordinary challenges. We are pleased to be able to help in a small way and to keep Jodie’s amazing spirit alive in the process.

Thank you for supporting our 2009 Butterflies From Jodie Fundraiser
Although the numbers are not yet complete, we can report that we had yet another very successful event. We had approximately 480 people in attendance and raised in excess of $44,000.00 with donations, admissions and raffles. As you can see from the website, we were able to make donations totaling almost $40,000.00 this year.
Next year will be our 10th anniversary and we hope it will be bigger and better than ever. Your kindness and generosity enable us to continue to help those in need and honor Jodie’s memory at the same time. Words will never adequately express how much we appreciate your generosity.
Wishing you a safe and healthy New Year!
Jeanne, Amy and Gary
